The Sounds of Nirih have been friends for over 30 years.  Whitney and Jim performed with a 5-piece show band throughout the United States and Canada for about 10 years before Whitney met Steve and Jim met Maryann.

As The Sounds of Nirih, Whitney, Steve, Jim and Maryann performed in local nightclubs for about 10 years.  Then Whitney chose to retire as an entertainer and focus on another path.  Even though they were not performing professionally,  they managed to get together once in a while to make music.
